学校概况
福莱伯学院(Fryeburg Academy)创校至今跨越三个世纪，本校在致力保持良好的教学传统同时，亦积极加入新颖的教育模式，正如二百多年前，本校是美国最早接受女学生的少数学校之一，力求创新及保持高素质为本校成功的主要原因。学校坐落于一个富有古典气息的新英格兰州(New England)白山脚下(White Moutains)的小镇里。这是一个真正的社区，它让每一个来到这里的人都有归属感，并为所有人提供支持。它靠近海洋，河流，湖以及 800,00亩的白山国家自然森林(White Mountain National Forest)。因此，户外活动的种类繁多并随着季节变幻。学校距离缅因州(Maine)最大的波特兰镇(Portland), 只有一个小时的路程，距离波士顿(Boston)只有不到三个小时。学校有着悠久的历史。1763年，General Joseph Frye在此定居，并命名为 Fryeburg 镇，它是白山周围第一座城镇。1769年开始向当地的孩子提供教学。1792年，Fryeburg Academy建成。学校以为鲍登学院(Bowdoin College)提供学员出名，在学校的历史中很多高贵的人士的名字，黛安娜.韦伯斯特在1806年曾担任校长。我们的目标是以开放的思想教学，创造一个新的社会并为生活带来无限创意。
